Alumni Board Meeting Minutes
January 30, 2013 5:15-6:15 p.m.
Attendance: Lynn Christofferson, Leslie Steward, Rachel Craspay, Jim Rowe, Jerry Atkinson with phone calls to Rachael Leavitt and Jody Bailey
Treasurer’s Report: Checking $7,865.72, Savings $3,009.01, Time Account + Interest $10,067.06.
Lynn called the meeting to order at 5:15 p.m. Treasurer’s report was given.
(ADDENDUM: June 20, 2012 Jennifer Hill of Wells Fargo attended our meeting and Jerry moved and Rachel seconded to move $10,000.00 from the checking account to a time account for 58 months to receive better interest 1.14% for an additional $114.00 per year. The transfer took place June 21, 2012. All in favor in attendance were: Lynn Christofferson, Leslie Steward, Rachel Craspay, and Jerry Atkinson.)
A phone call was made to Rachael Wagner Leavitt who just today created a web page for this organization. Very impressive, this group unanimously made her the web master of this page. www.pchsaa.com created and designed by Rachael Wagner Leavitt class of 2000, she created for free under www.weebly.com. She contributed $20.00 for our domain name. THANK YOU, RACHAEL. She also linked it to facebook. She shared her ideas. Her class wants to do a project named “Graduates Giving Back”. She went over the ideas she had created. Outstanding! We will continue to feed her information on the Alumni to grow this web page.
Mr. Rowe will see Matt Schotel, school counselor about videotaping the school song at a basketball game.
Jody Bailey, our historian, was called.
Jerry will make sure that all officers on Facebook are administrators. She will contact the school to list the link to our web page.
Jerry will get the bid letter ready for Lynn to deliver next week. We would like the bid delivered back to us by Feb. 22nd for our next monthly board meeting. Bid letters will go to Julie Myers, Nelda Stevens, Temptations, Patty Burke, Sturgeons, Drew Skeen, LaCasita, Alicia Dyer, and Cowpoke Café, Lois Lusardi.
Lisa will check on the reservation for the Community Center.
The Alumni invitation will stay the same with amount of dues and dinner reservation. This should be ready to go next month at the meeting. Jerry will make those changes.
Discussion about music for the Ball; Lynn/Lisa will ask Chad Blanchard to work on this. Leslie said Jerry Reid may do it. The older music is better earlier in the evening (70-80s).
Historian Duties to go to school will be done in April, May, and June. Dates were given for these meetings and Jody said she may be able to attend in the spring and then go to school.
On the senior page that goes to school we will add email and cell phone number.
Meetings will be 2/27/2013; 3/27/2013; 4/24/2013; and 5/29/2013 at 5:15 p.m. Jerry will post this in community announcements in the Lovelock Review Miner.
